The PROSPER project is moving forward!
At the moment we are working mainly on Teachers training toolkit for supporting the implementation of the gamified blended
learning course on “Tackling real-world challenges through Social Entrepreneurship”.
This output will provide a holistic and comprehensive Teachers training toolkit that will facilitate the smooth and effective implementation of the Intellectual Output 1 and ultimately support university teachers coming from diverse fields of study embed social entrepreneurship into their curriculum following our projects’ interactive and innovative methodology combining the virtual game-based learning environment with real-world opportunities through service learning. The PROSPER teachers training toolkit will contain the following handbooks that will be both printable in the form of handbooks and also transformed into eBooks that will be available on the PROSPER social entrepreneurship online platform:
• social entrepreneurship handbook (leader UNIZG): all introductory content about the concept of social entrepreneurship, social/educational purpose and philosophy will be included in this module that will offer teachers a profound conceptual understanding of social entrepreneurship that will lay the basis for the embedment of the educational concept in diverse disciplines and fields of study.
• a quick guide to the project’s gamified blended learning course (leader UOM): will include the instructional design of the blended gamified learning course/guidance report for teachers interested in integrating it into their courses
• Platform handbook (leader US): will provide an overview of the platform’s basic features and elements, detailed instructions on how to use them and how to motivate and guide students, social entrepreneurs and other teachers to be engaged, interact and upload resources, storytelling videos and service-learning project examples.
• service-learning handbook (leader STIMMULI): this handbook aims to provide a practical and useful tool on how to apply service-learning and facilitate the participation of students in voluntary and short-term placements. There will be a particular focus on analyzing the common values and learning objectives with the concept of social entrepreneurship and provide useful examples of how these two concepts could collaborate inside higher education institutions.
• reflection handbook (leader K&C): will provide a practical guide for applying reflection sessions after the implementation of the gamified blended learning course and the service learning activities. Students will be asked to think critically about their social entrepreneurial experiences gained both throughout the interactive module included in the course but also through face to face and online group reflection sessions facilitated by teachers.
• Teachers handbook for establishing meaningful partnerships with social enterprises and community actors (leader WUS): providing the overall PROSPER framework of collaboration, defining the necessary set of skills for all participating actors (students, teachers, social enterprises, community) and guiding the integration of local societal issues into curricula.
